Aurora, OH: Video Products Inc (VPI) today announced the addition of Locking Port Blockers to its popular line of connector covers. The locking connector covers block physical access to RJ45/USB ports to prevent unauthorized use. They act as a visual security deterrent and have the additional benefit of protecting open jacks from dust, dirt, and grime.
The RJ45 Port Blockers fit all standard female RJ45 modular ports without interfering with jack contacts. The locking CAT5/5e/6/6a/7/8 Ethernet connector covers are flush mount when installed, and can be locked/unlocked without interfering with adjacent jacks or hardware. They are quick and easy to install – just snap the port blocker into the open RJ45 jack to lock, and use the removal key to unlock. PB-RJ45-10L1L-O includes one key and ten locks, and PB-RJ45-20L-O includes 20 locks (no key).
The USB Type A and USB Type C Port Blockers fit all standard female USB ports without interfering with connector contacts. The locking USB connector covers are flush mount when installed, and can be locked/unlocked without interfering with adjacent ports or hardware. They are quick and easy to install – use the removal key to lock and unlock. Both the USB-A and USB-C/Thunderbolt 3/4 versions are used to prevent unauthorized users from inserting and connecting cables, devices, or foreign objects – such as the connection of a thumb drive or mobile phone that could be used to copy private data or upload malware/viruses. PB-USBA-4L1K-R includes one key and four USB Type A locks. PB-USBA-10L-R includes 10 USB Type A locks (no key). PB-USBC-4L1K-R includes one key and four USB Type C locks. PB-USBC-10L-R includes 10 USB Type C locks (no key).
