Aurora, OH: Video Products Inc (VPI) today announced the addition of the Waterproof USB Connector and Cable to its popular line of waterproof connectors. The IP67-rated weatherproof USB connector and cable provide watertight connectivity in harsh environments.
VPI’s waterproof USB 3.0 connector and cable have quick release bayonet style connections and seals which provide IP67-rated water and dust protection. The waterproof USB female coupler includes a cap with a tether to waterproof the connector when not in use.
The waterproof USB cable is 1-meter in length with Male USB 3.0 Type A waterproof connectors on both ends. The attached connector simply screws onto the waterproof USB 3.0 Type A panel mount connector to form a sealed connection. They are ideal for harsh industrial environments, such as factory automation, or outdoor installations where a USB cable needs to be run from a dry location to a wet one.
