Aurora, OH: Video Products Inc today announced the addition of an Ultra Low-Cost HDMI Extender to its popular line of video extenders. The HDMI Extender transmits digital video and audio signals up to 150 feet using two CAT5e/6/6a cables.
Each ST-C5HD-MINI-ULC consists of a local unit that connects to an HDMI source and a remote unit that connects to an HDMI display. The extender supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p and computer resolutions to 1920x1200. Extend an HDMI signal up to 100 feet with two CAT5e/6 UTP cable and up to 150 feet with two CAT6a UTP cable. HDMI features supported include: 24-bit Deep color, DTS® Digital, DTS-HD Master Audio™, Dolby TrueHD™, LPCM, and bandwidth up to 165 MHz (1.65 Gbps).
The Ultra Low-Cost HDMI Extender is HDCP compliant and supports embedded audio signals through HDMI compatible TVs or audio receivers. No power supply is necessary for the local or remote unit. With dimensions of 2.13x1.44x0.84 inches (54x37x21 mm) with 8-inch (203-mm) male HDMI cable attached for both local and remote unit, the extender provides a compact solution for extending an HDMI display.
