Aurora, OH: Video Products Inc (VPI) today announced the addition of the 10 Gigabit MPO OM3 Multimode Fiber Optic Cable to its popular line of Fiber Optic Cables. The MPO fiber assembly consists of 12 laser-optimized 10G 50/125µm multimode fibers within one LSZH PVC jacket.
The FIBER-MPO12-3B-275M-LSZH-FF is ideal for high density fiber networks – run a single cable instead of twelve. The female MPO connector features a push-pull release mechanism on both ends for easy mating and removal, and is designed for use in 10-Gigabit Ethernet applications. The cable has precision-molded MT ferrules with metal guide pins and precise housing dimensions that ensure fiber alignment when mating.
The 10 Gigabit MPO OM3 Multimode Fiber Optic Cable features UPC (Ultra Polish Contact) polish, which provides a better surface finish with less back reflection. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket emits very little smoke and does not produce toxic halogen-based gasses when exposed to extreme temperatures.
The cable has Type B (cross) polarity, features a 50-µm core and 125-µm cladding, is immune to electrical interference, and includes connector covers to keep out dust and contaminants. It is 275 meters (902 feet) long, and can be custom ordered in different lengths, fiber count, cable jacket, and polarity.
