How to assemble a Category 5e Patch Panel

Step 1. Carefully strip the jacketing from the cable. Do not remove any insulation from the conductors. |

Step 2:
Place the insulated conductor pairs into the color coded contacts. To insure connection performance, maintain conductor twist at the IDC terminal. Punch the conductor down using a 110 style tool. |

Step 3:
Trim off any excess wire (if 110 tool does not cut). |
 |
Step 4:
Complete the installation by securing cables to panel using wire ties. |
