Aurora, OH: Video Products Inc today announced the addition of a Cutter & Stripper Tool for CAT5E Super Flat Shielded Cables to its popular line of network tools. The Cutter & Stripper Tool is ideal for cutting and removing jackets from VPI's CAT5e super flat shielded bulk cables.
The STRIPPER-CAT-FLAT is a combo tool that can cut and strip cable jackets from VPI’s CAT5e super flat shielded bulk cables, CAT5E-SF-BULK-SHLD and CAT5E-SF-BULK-SHLD-IND.
VPI offers two types of CAT5e super flat shielded bulk cables: standard and industrial rated. Both cables support full and half-duplex operation and have been tested for electrical performance. Made of flame-retardant PVC jacket and polyolefin insulation, the cables meet or exceed the ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2.1 and ISO/IEC 11801 Class E requirements.
The standard CAT5E-SF-BULK-SHLD cable is 28AWG and has a thickness of 0.10 inches. The industrial CAT5E-SF-BULK-SHLD-IND has a thickness of 0.115 inches, 28AWG, and an operating temperature range of 32 to 176°F (0 to 80°C) for harsh environments. Both cables have an up and down bend radius of 100mm and come in lengths of 250 feet.
Available for immediate sale, the STRIPPER-CAT-FLAT costs $8.85, the CAT5E-SF-BULK-SHLD costs $135, and the CAT5E-SF-BULK-SHLD-IND costs $140.
